THE HISTORY OF THE BLINI
Maslentisa also known as “butter week” or “pancake week” is an Eastern Slavic religious folk holiday to celebrate the end of winter. During this week thin pancakes or crepes called “blinis” are prepared with various fillings and covering and shared with friends and family.
